After years in the military, the transition can be harder for some ex-service people to acclimate into normal day to day civian life than others. For some the stresses and experiences of military life combined with a system that doesn't prioritise making sure that they have a smooth transition into civilian work and housing can result in a Veteran becoming homeless. Unfortunately a rising number of veterans end up either sofa surfing or sleeping rough on the streets.
In a modern society it is unthinkable that a service man or woman can end up homeless after giving years of service to country. But this however is the uncomfortable reality for some. For this reason we are passionate about making sure that veterans don't end up on the streets, and would like to support charities that focus on this endeavour.
There are a number of great charities and institutions that work hard to try to make a difference across the UK. Unfortunately we cannot support them all, but have selected three charities that we will be supporting through our Homeless Veterans Fund. Any funds will be split equally between these three charities.
Help 4 Homeless Veterans is based in South Yorkshire and provides support to homeless veterans in The Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire area.
Helping Homeless Veterans UK is small charity based in Poole, Dorset.
Soldiers off The Streets is a small charity based in North Wales.
Thank you to Yorkshire based PEAK Physiotherapy Limited, one of our Gold Donors for making a major contribution to this project. If you would like to contribute to this fund and support the three charities above, then please do so using the donate button below. The accumulated funds will be split equally between all three organisations.
